Soroptimist International Quadrennial Project 2007-2011

 

 Project Sierra was designated as the four-year project
 for Soroptimist International. Sierra Leone is a country that remains
 devastated by war and faces the challenge of reconstruction.
 During the conflict over half of the population was made homeless.
 The project objectives are: to help children aged 6 to 12 years
 who live on the streets return home; empower young mothers to be
 active community members; support families at risk of breakdown
 to self-sufficiency. Project Sierra addresses all Soroptimist
 program areas and UN Millennium Development Goals.
